Guest Welcome Experience

Guest Arrival Preparation

The final preparation before a guest arrives should go beyond cleaning. The goal is to make the property feel accessible, comfortable, functional, and intentionally prepared.

The Concept: ARRIVAL READY

There is a world of difference between a chalet that has simply been cleaned and one that is genuinely ready to receive guests after a tiring mountain journey. A property can have immaculate bathrooms and vacuumed carpets, yet feel cold, unwelcoming, and hollow if the heating was left at anti-freeze standby, the exterior porch light bulb is burned out, and the key safe code sticks in freezing temperatures.

We introduce ARRIVAL READY as a dedicated operational stage. Carried out within 24 hours of arrival, this final walkthrough simulates the guest’s footsteps from the front gate to the master bedroom. It guarantees that the first 10 minutes in the house are completely friction-free.

Basic Reset vs. Arrival Preparation

A basic reset happens directly following the previous guest’s departure. It is about stripping beds, sanitising surfaces, and taking out garbage. But chalets often sit unoccupied for a few days or weeks between bookings.

Arrival preparation is a focused, secondary review. It checks whether dust has settled, brings the heating up to comfortable living levels, verifies that hot water tanks have cycled, turns on welcoming warm exterior and entrance lighting, and tests that WiFi routers and fireplace kindling are ready for use.

Service Scope Boundaries: We provide comprehensive property preparation and facility checks. We do not provide grocery delivery, stocked wine cellars, private cooking, airport chauffeur transfers, childcare, or personal on-site concierge services. Our role is ensuring your chalet itself is warm, functional, and prepared.

The Five Arrival Pillars

Every chalet undergoes a disciplined five-point inspection before keys are handed over or codes are activated.

ACCESS

Entry points and access arrangements are ready. We test exterior key safes, verify smart-lock battery levels, confirm spare physical keys are located where intended, and make sure driveway gates operate smoothly without obstruction from snow ridges.

COMFORT

Basic comfort-related property conditions are checked. Heating is transitioned from low eco-mode to a welcoming 20°C. Hot water cylinders are verified as fully charged, towel rails are powered, and indoor air is refreshed while retaining thermal warmth.

PRESENTATION

Rooms and shared spaces feel orderly and prepared. Window curtains or shutters are positioned welcomingly, cushions fluffed, hearth log baskets filled with dry seasoned wood and firelighters, and subtle entryway lighting illuminated for evening arrivals.

Expected household supplies and practical items are organised. We confirm clean bin liners are in place, dishwashing tablets are stocked beside the sink, toilet rolls are refreshed in every washroom, and emergency flashlights are charged and accessible.

FINAL WALKTHROUGH

The property receives a final visual check right before arrival. We test the WiFi network SSID and speed, flush every toilet to ensure clean bowl water, confirm boot warmer rails heat up, and secure all balcony doors against mountain gusting.
